- 4 slices Bread preferably thick slices
- 2 Eggs
- ½ cup Milk
- 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 Apple peeled and thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoon Butter for cooking
In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are well-coated.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a tablespoon of butter.
Place the coated bread slices onto the skillet and cook until golden brown on each side, about 3-4 minutes per side.
In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of butter and sauté the apple slices until tender.
Serve the French toast topped with the sautéed apples and a sprinkle of extra cinnamon if desired.
