Ingredients 

Crust

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter cold and cubed
  • 0.25 cup sugar
  • 1 pinch salt

Filling

  • 4 apples peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 0.5 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Crumble Topping

  • 0.75 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter melted

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt for the crust. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press into a tart pan.
  3. In another bowl, toss the apple slices with sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Spread evenly over the crust.
  4. For the crumble topping, mix flour, brown sugar, and melted butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over the apples.
  5. Bake for 40 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender. Let it cool before serving.
