Bacon Jalapeno Mac And Cheese
A spicy, cheesy twist on classic mac and cheese with crispy bacon and jalapenos.

- 8 oz Elbow macaroni
- 6 slices Bacon diced
- 2 Jalapenos seeded and diced
- 2 cups Cheddar cheese shredded
- 2 cups Milk
- 2 tablespoon Butter
- 2 tablespoon Flour
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black pepper
1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2. In a skillet, cook the diced bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside. Reserve some bacon fat.
3. In the same skillet, sauté the diced jalapenos in the reserved bacon fat until soft. Set aside.
4. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
5. Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
6. Add the shredded cheddar cheese, salt, and black pepper. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
7. Combine the cooked macaroni, cheese sauce, bacon, and jalapenos. Mix well.
8. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
