Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 0.5 cup butter softened
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1 cup bananas mashed
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup walnuts chopped (optional)

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Stir in eggs, bananas, sour cream, and vanilla until well blended.
  4. Stir banana mixture into flour mixture; stir just to moisten. Fold in walnuts if using. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
  5. Bake in preheated oven for 60 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean.
  6. Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack.
