Ingredients

  • 4 bananas sliced lengthwise and halved
  • ¼ cup butter unsalted
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup dark rum
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pint vanilla ice cream

Instructions 

  1. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add brown sugar and cinnamon, stir until sugar dissolves.
  3. Add bananas and cook until tender, about 2 minutes per side.
  4. Remove skillet from heat, add rum, and carefully ignite with a long lighter.
  5. Let flames die down, then stir in vanilla extract.
  6. Serve immediately over vanilla ice cream.
