Ingredients

  • 2 pounds potatoes peeled and cut into chunks
  • ½ cup milk warmed
  • ¼ cup butter melted
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. Peel and cut the potatoes into chunks.
  2. 2. Place the potatoes in a pot and cover with cold water. Add a pinch of salt.
  3. 3. Bring to a boil and cook until the potatoes are tender, about 20 minutes.
  4. 4. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
  5. 5. Mash the potatoes with a potato masher.
  6. 6. Add the warm milk and melted butter. Stir until smooth.
  7. 7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
