Ingredients

  • 1 whole Beef Tongue
  • 1 large Onion peeled and halved
  • 2 cloves Garlic peeled
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Peppercorns
  • 2 pcs Bay Leaves

Instructions 

  1. 1. Place the beef tongue in a large pot and cover with water.
  2. 2. Add the onion, garlic, salt, peppercorns, and bay leaves to the pot.
  3. 3. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 3 hours or until the tongue is tender.
  4. 4. Remove the tongue from the pot and let it cool slightly.
  5. 5. Peel off the skin and slice the tongue thinly.
  6. 6. Serve warm or cold.
