Main Ingredients
- 4 cups bread, cubed day-old or stale
- 2 cups milk
- 3 eggs beaten
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
Add the cubed bread to the mixture and stir until the bread is well-coated.
Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
Bake for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let it cool slightly before serving.
