  • 1 cup grated Gruyere cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Peel and slice the butternut squash into thin rounds.
  3. In a bowl, mix the heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  4. Layer the butternut squash slices in a baking dish, overlapping them slightly.
  5. Pour the cream mixture over the squash layers.
  6. Sprinkle the grated Gruyere cheese evenly on top.
  7. Drizzle with olive oil.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the squash is tender and the top is golden brown.
  9. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
