- 1 head cabbage large
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 can tomato sauce 15 oz
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Bring a large pot of water to boil. Carefully remove leaves from cabbage head and blanch in boiling water for 2-3 minutes until pliable. Drain and set aside.
3. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, cooked rice, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
4. Place a small amount of meat mixture in the center of each cabbage leaf. Fold in sides and roll up, securing with toothpicks if necessary.
5. Place cabbage rolls in a baking dish and cover with tomato sauce.
6. Cover with foil and bake for 60 minutes.
