Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage large
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can tomato sauce 15 oz
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. 2. Bring a large pot of water to boil. Carefully remove leaves from cabbage head and blanch in boiling water for 2-3 minutes until pliable. Drain and set aside.
  3. 3. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, cooked rice, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  4. 4. Place a small amount of meat mixture in the center of each cabbage leaf. Fold in sides and roll up, securing with toothpicks if necessary.
  5. 5. Place cabbage rolls in a baking dish and cover with tomato sauce.
  6. 6. Cover with foil and bake for 60 minutes.
