Ingredients

  • 200 g Spaghetti
  • 1 cup Pecorino Romano cheese, grated
  • 2 teaspoon Black pepper, freshly ground
  • 1 cup Pasta water Reserved from cooking the pasta

Instructions 

  1. 1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. 2. In a skillet, toast the black pepper over medium heat until fragrant.
  3. 3. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet along with some of the reserved pasta water.
  4. 4. Sprinkle the grated Pecorino Romano cheese over the pasta and toss with tongs until the cheese melts and forms a creamy sauce. Add more pasta water if needed.
  5. 5. Serve immediately, garnished with extra black pepper if desired.
