Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 4 Catfish fillets about 6 oz each
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • 1 cup Cornmeal
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 4 French rolls split and toasted
  • 1 cup Shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup Sliced tomatoes

Remoulade Sauce

  • ½ cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Pickle relish
  • 1 teaspoon Hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon juice

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a bowl, mix buttermilk and catfish fillets. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. 2. In another bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, and Cajun seasoning.
  3. 3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  4. 4. Dredge the marinated catfish in the cornmeal mixture, coating well.
  5. 5. Fry the catfish until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
  6. 6. In a small bowl, mix all the remoulade sauce ingredients.
  7. 7. Spread remoulade sauce on the toasted French rolls.
  8. 8. Place fried catfish on the rolls, top with shredded lettuce and sliced tomatoes. Serve immediately.
