Ingredients

  • 4 cups Thinly sliced potatoes
  • 2 cups Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 tablespoons All-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Gradually whisk in the milk, cooking until the mixture thickens and bubbles. Stir in the salt and pepper.
  4. Layer half of the potatoes in a greased baking dish. Pour half of the sauce over the potatoes. Repeat with the remaining potatoes and sauce.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
