Main Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
- 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed (15 oz)
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until softened.
Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
Stir in the chili powder and ground cumin. Cook for another minute.
Add the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, beef broth, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low and simmer for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
