Ingredients 

Crust

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1 large egg yolk

Filling

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz dark chocolate, chopped
  • ½ cup almond flour
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and powdered sugar. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add egg yolk and mix until the dough comes together.
  3. Press the dough into a tart pan. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Let it cool.
  4. For the filling, heat the cream in a saucepan until just boiling. Remove from heat and add chopped chocolate. Stir until smooth.
  5. In a bowl, whisk together almond flour, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Gradually add the chocolate mixture and stir until well combined.
  6. Pour the filling into the cooled crust. Bake for 15 minutes or until set. Let it cool before serving.
