  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 2 rolls Hoagie rolls
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add the ground beef and chopped onion to the skillet. Cook until the beef is browned and the onion is soft.
  3. 3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. 4. Divide the beef mixture into two portions in the skillet. Place two slices of cheese on each portion and let it melt.
  5. 5. Toast the hoagie rolls in the skillet or a toaster.
  6. 6. Place the beef and cheese mixture into the toasted hoagie rolls.
