Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 kg Pork shoulder
  • 100 ml Orange juice Freshly squeezed
  • 50 ml Lime juice Freshly squeezed
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 tablespoon Achiote paste
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper Ground
  • 1 unit Banana leaves For wrapping

Instructions 

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 160°C (320°F).
  2. 2. Blend orange juice, lime juice, garlic, achiote paste, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. 3. Rub the mixture all over the pork shoulder.
  4. 4. Wrap the pork in banana leaves and place in a baking dish.
  5. 5. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 4 hours.
  6. 6. Shred the pork and serve with tortillas and pickled onions.
