Ingredients

  • 1 lb white fish fillets cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 cups potatoes peeled and diced
  • 1 cup onion chopped
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoon flour
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent.
  3. 3. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  4. 4. Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
  5. 5. Add the potatoes and bring to a simmer. Cook until the potatoes are tender, about 10-15 minutes.
  6. 6. Add the fish and cook until it is opaque and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  7. 7. Stir in the heavy cream and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  8. 8. Serve hot with crusty bread.
