Ingredients

  • 1 lb Roast beef, thinly sliced
  • 4 French rolls split
  • 8 slices Provolone cheese
  • 2 cups Beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder over medium heat.
  3. Add the roast beef slices to the skillet and simmer for about 5 minutes, until heated through.
  4. Place the French rolls on a baking sheet and top each with 2 slices of Provolone cheese.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the rolls are toasted.
  6. Remove the rolls from the oven and fill each with the warm roast beef slices.
  7. Serve the sandwiches with a small bowl of the au jus (the broth mixture) for dipping.
