Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 inch fresh ginger root, sliced
  • 1 inch fresh turmeric root, sliced or 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 tablespoon honey optional, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice optional, to taste

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
  2. 2. Add the sliced ginger and turmeric. Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
  3. 3. Strain the tea into a teapot or directly into mugs.
  4. 4. Add honey and lemon juice if desired. Stir well and serve hot.
