Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
  • ¼ cup whipped cream for topping

Instructions 

  1. In a saucepan, combine milk, cocoa powder, sugar, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
  2. Heat over medium heat, whisking constantly until hot but not boiling.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Pour into mugs and top with whipped cream.
