Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup carrots, sliced
  • 1 cup celery, sliced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
  2. 2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot. Cook until the onion is translucent.
  3. 3. Stir in the beef broth, diced tomatoes, carrots, celery, and dried herbs. Bring to a boil.
  4. 4. Reduce heat and let simmer for about 30 minutes, or until vegetables are tender.
  5. 5. Add the frozen peas and cook for an additional 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
