Ingredients

  • 3 pounds Beef chuck roast
  • 1 packet Italian dressing mix
  • 1 cup Beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 4 rolls Italian sandwich rolls
  • 1 cup Giardiniera optional

Instructions 

  1. 1. Place the beef chuck roast in a slow cooker.
  2. 2. Sprinkle the Italian dressing mix over the roast.
  3. 3. Pour the beef broth around the roast.
  4. 4. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, dried basil, and dried oregano.
  5. 5. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or until the beef is tender and easily shredded.
  6. 6. Shred the beef with two forks and mix it with the juices in the slow cooker.
  7. 7. Serve the beef on Italian rolls, topped with giardiniera if desired.
