Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsalted butter cold and cubed
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg yolk large
  • 2 tablespoons ice water
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • ¾ cup maple syrup
  • ½ cup brown sugar packed
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Add cold butter and mix until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Add egg yolk and ice water. Mix until dough comes together. Press into a tart pan.
  4. Bake crust for 15 minutes. Let cool.
  5. In a bowl, whisk together maple syrup, brown sugar, cream, eggs, and vanilla. Stir in pecans.
  6. Pour filling into cooled crust. Bake for 30 minutes or until set.
  7. Let tart cool before serving.
