Mofongo Recipe
A traditional Puerto Rican dish made with fried plantains, garlic, and pork cracklings.

Main Ingredients
- 4 pieces Green plantains peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces
- 4 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 cup Pork cracklings chopped
- 1 cup Chicken broth
- to taste Salt
- to taste Black pepper
1. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the plantains until golden and tender.
2. In a mortar and pestle, mash the garlic and pork cracklings together.
3. Add the fried plantains to the mortar and mash until well combined. Add chicken broth as needed to moisten the mixture.
4. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve warm.
