Ingredients 

Dough

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup warm water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dry yeast
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Filling

  • 200 g ground beef
  • ¼ cup chopped onion
  • ¼ cup chopped green onions
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. Mix warm water, sugar, and dry yeast. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
  2. 2. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Add yeast mixture and knead into a dough. Let it rise for 1 hour.
  3. 3. For the filling, mix ground beef, chopped onion, green onions, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar, salt, and pepper.
  4. 4. Divide dough into 8 pieces. Flatten each piece, place a spoonful of filling in the center, and seal the edges.
  5. 5. Place buns in a steamer and steam for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
