Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
  • 1 can cannellini beans (15 oz), drained and rinsed
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup ditalini pasta
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions 

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the garlic and cook for another minute.
  3. Stir in the diced tomatoes, cannellini beans, chicken broth, oregano, and basil. Bring to a boil.
  4. Add the ditalini pasta and cook until al dente, about 10 minutes.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
