Ingredients

  • 400 g penne pasta
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 800 g canned tomatoes, crushed
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions 

  1. 1. Cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. 2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. 3. Add the crushed tomatoes to the skillet. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. 4. Add the cooked penne pasta to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta with the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
  5. 5. Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
