Pinto Beans with Mexican Style Seasonings
A hearty and flavorful pinto bean dish with Mexican seasonings.

Main Ingredients
- 2 cups dried pinto beans soaked overnight
- 1 onion chopped
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 jalapeño chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 cups water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Rinse and soak the pinto beans overnight.
In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
Add the chopped onion, garlic, and jalapeño. Sauté until softened.
Add the soaked beans, water, cumin, chili powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 1 hour, or until beans are tender.
