  • 2 ¼ teaspoon Active Dry Yeast
  • 1 ½ cups Warm Water 110°F
  • 3 ½ cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let stand until creamy, about 10 minutes.
  2. 2. In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until smooth. Let rest for 5 minutes.
  3. 3. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead until elastic. Place dough in a lightly oiled bowl and cover with a damp cloth. Let rise in a warm place until doubled in volume, about 1 hour.
  4. 4. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). Punch down dough and turn it out onto a lightly floured surface. Roll or pat the dough into a round. Transfer crust to a lightly greased pizza pan or baker's peel dusted with cornmeal.
  5. 5. Add your favorite toppings and bake in preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
