Ingredients

  • 4 large portobello mushrooms
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 0.25 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Clean the portobello mushrooms and remove the stems.
  3. Brush the mushrooms with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Place the mushrooms on a baking sheet, gill side up.
  5. Spread marinara sauce over each mushroom.
  6. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  7. Add cherry tomatoes and fresh basil leaves.
  8. Bake for 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
