Ingredients

  • 4 cups bread flour
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon cloves
  • 1 ¼ cups warm water

Instructions 

  1. Mix yeast and warm water, let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and spices.
  3. Add pumpkin puree and yeast mixture to the dry ingredients.
  4. Knead the dough until smooth, about 10 minutes.
  5. Let the dough rise for 1 hour.
  6. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  7. Divide dough into 8 pieces, shape into bagels.
  8. Boil bagels for 1 minute on each side.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
