- 5 lb Prime Rib Roast
- 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 tablespoon Kosher Salt
- 1 tablespoon Black Pepper freshly ground
- 4 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon Rosemary chopped
Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
Rub the prime rib roast with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic, and rosemary.
Place the roast in a roasting pan, fat side up.
Roast for 15 minutes at 450°F, then reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (165°C) and continue roasting for about 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.
Remove the roast from the oven and let it rest for at least 20 minutes before carving.
