Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until the dough comes together.
  4. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about ¼ inch thick.
  5. Cut into desired shapes using a cookie cutter and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  7. Let cool on a wire rack before serving.
