Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 4 French rolls
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a bowl, mix buttermilk and hot sauce. Add shrimp and let marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. 2. In another bowl, mix flour, cornmeal, and Cajun seasoning.
  3. 3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  4. 4. Dredge shrimp in the flour mixture and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. 5. Drain on paper towels.
  6. 6. Mix mayonnaise and hot sauce to make the sauce.
  7. 7. Assemble the sandwiches: spread sauce on rolls, add lettuce, tomato, and shrimp.
