Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 Small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Tomato sauce
  • 4 cups Chicken broth
  • 1 cup Fideos (or vermicelli pasta)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 Lime, cut into wedges for serving
  • ¼ cup Cilantro, chopped for garnish

Instructions 

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Stir in the tomato sauce and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  6. Add the fideos and cook until tender, about 10 minutes.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve hot with lime wedges and chopped cilantro.
