Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 whole Chicken breast cooked and shredded
  • 6 cups Chicken broth
  • 1 whole Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 whole Tomatoes chopped
  • 2 whole Limes juiced
  • 1 whole Lime sliced for garnish
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper to taste
  • 1 handful Cilantro chopped for garnish

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large pot, heat a bit of oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until softened.
  2. 2. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook for a few more minutes until they start to break down.
  3. 3. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
  4. 4. Add the shredded chicken, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for another 10 minutes.
  5. 5. Serve the soup hot, garnished with lime slices and chopped cilantro.
