Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.25 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions 

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Dredge the chicken in flour.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown the chicken on both sides.
  4. Remove chicken and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add butter and remaining flour to make a roux.
  6. Slowly add chicken broth and milk, stirring constantly until thickened.
  7. Return chicken to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes.
