- 1 can Chickpeas drained and rinsed
- 1 small Onion finely chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon Cumin
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- ½ teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
- ¼ cup Fresh Parsley chopped
- ¼ cup Breadcrumbs
- 1 Egg beaten
- 2 tablespoon Olive Oil for frying
- to taste Salt and Pepper
1. In a food processor, combine chickpeas, onion, garlic, cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, parsley, breadcrumbs, and egg. Pulse until well combined but still slightly chunky.
2. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
3. Form the mixture into small patties.
4. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
5. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or in a sandwich.
