  • 1 cup all-purpose flour sifted
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ¼ cup butter melted

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour your baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs until thick and lemon-colored.
  3. Gradually add sugar, beating until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  4. Sift together the flour and baking powder. Add to the egg mixture, mixing just until combined.
  5. Gently fold in the milk and melted butter until the batter is smooth.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool the cake in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
