Ingredients

  • 4 green bell peppers tops cut off and seeds removed
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheese optional

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, cooked rice, tomato sauce, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Stuff the green peppers with the beef mixture and place them in a baking dish.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
  5. If using cheese, sprinkle it on top of the peppers during the last 10 minutes of baking.
  6. Serve hot.
