Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 bell peppers, diced any color
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 6 cups beef broth
  • 1 can tomato sauce 15 oz
  • 1 can diced tomatoes 15 oz
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
  2. 2. Add the diced bell peppers, onion, and garlic to the pot. Cook until the vegetables are tender.
  3. 3. Pour in the beef broth, tomato sauce, and diced tomatoes. Stir in the basil and oregano.
  4. 4. Bring the soup to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 30 minutes.
  5. 5. Stir in the cooked rice and season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
