Main Ingredients
- 1 cup warm milk
- 2 tablespoon white sugar
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- ½ cup butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle yeast over the top and let it sit until foamy, about 5 minutes.
Add melted butter, egg, and salt to the yeast mixture. Gradually stir in flour until a soft dough forms.
Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic, about 8-10 minutes.
Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place on a greased baking sheet.
Cover and let rise until doubled, about 30 minutes. Bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
