Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups dried hibiscus flowers rinsed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • 8 tortillas corn or flour
  • salt and pepper to taste

Toppings

  • cilantro chopped
  • lime wedges
  • salsa

Instructions 

  1. 1. Boil hibiscus flowers in water for 10 minutes. Drain and rinse.
  2. 2. Heat olive oil in a skillet. Sauté onion and garlic until soft.
  3. 3. Add hibiscus flowers, cumin, oregano, and vegetable broth. Cook until liquid is absorbed.
  4. 4. Season with salt and pepper. Serve on tortillas with toppings.
