Ingredients

  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup water
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoon water

Instructions 

  1. In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, water, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and minced ginger.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with 2 tablespoon water until smooth.
  4. Add the cornstarch mixture to the saucepan and stir well.
  5. Continue to cook until the sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and let it cool. Use as a marinade or sauce as desired.
