  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions 

  1. 1. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add the sugar and stir continuously until the mixture reaches 300°F (150°C) on a candy thermometer.
  3. 3. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. 4. Pour the mixture onto a baking sheet and spread evenly.
  5. 5. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top if desired and let it cool completely before breaking into pieces.
