Main Ingredients
- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- ⅓ cup Granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon Baking powder
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- ½ cup Unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1 cup Heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 1 cup Chocolate chips
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Add the cold, cubed butter to the dry ingredients. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to work the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
Stir in the heavy cream and vanilla extract until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and shape it into a circle about 1 inch thick. Cut the dough into 8 wedges and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the scones are golden brown. Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
