Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 package frozen hash browns thawed
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup onion finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Topping

  • 2 cups cornflakes crushed
  • ½ cup butter melted

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine thawed hash browns, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped onion, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  3. Spread the mixture evenly into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix crushed cornflakes with melted butter. Sprinkle evenly over the hash brown mixture.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.
  6. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
