Ham and Beans Recipe

Main Ingredients
- 1 lb Dried Beans any variety
- 1 lb Ham Hock
- 1 large Onion chopped
- 3 cloves Garlic minced
- 6 cups Water
- 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
- 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper to taste
1. Rinse and sort the dried beans. Soak them overnight or use the quick soak method.
2. In a large pot, combine the soaked beans, ham hock, chopped onion, minced garlic, and water.
3. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 2 hours, or until beans are tender.
4. Remove the ham hock, shred the meat, and return it to the pot. Discard the bone.
5. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve hot.
